ENAMEL PIN INFO
All enamel pins are handmade and may have differences from pin to pin. Please note I do not grade the back or sides of pins and I do not consider myself a very harsh grader.
All enamel pins will have regular rubber posts. Please understand that rubber posts are for light usage and pins may come loose from constant tugging or movement. If you will be placing or wearing pins a lot, I recommend buying pin backs with a locking clasp.PIN GRADINGA Grade
Pins may have minor flaws that cannot be seen from an arms length away. May include flaws that can only be seen at a specific angle or upon close scrutiny.
Minor flaws may include
- slight misalignment of screenprint
- dust specks
- slight underfill
-minor bleeding
-small spots of color in the wrong area
-buffmarks on the metal
- for stained glass, minor air bubbles
- for pins with glitter, a few glitter speck in places they shouldn’t be
B Grade
Pins may have flaws that can be seen from an arms length away but do not take away from the overall pin design.
Flaws may include
- noticeable imperfections on enamel such as holes or scratches
-underfilled enamel spots
- small parts of missing enamel or miscolored enamel
- overfilled enamel
- misaligned screenprint
C Grade- large unfilled spots
- missing necessary screen print
- wrong color filled in
- broken/missing pin back
- deep scratches in the enamel
- multiple holes in enamel
For some examples of different pin grades, please visit my instagram and check the stories. Pins are graded per batch and sometimes there's may be A- or B+ pins.
